SUNDAY SELF-CARE

I talk a lot about self-care because IMO, it’s that important to my overall state of being. It’s not just a buzzword I like to throw around because everyone else is doing it. It’s something that has increasingly taken precedence in my life, as I’ve come to navigate certain situation and scenarios. Maintaining healthy routines has definitely lent itself to making me feel less anxious, more clear headed, more at ease and motivated (I feel bc I’ve let myself let in order to reset and start again).

Wellness, to me, is taking the time to balance yourself. When I’m feeling a little testy or out-of-sorts, I know it’s time to take a step back and tend to myself. To avoid being at the mercy of a bad mood, I’ve come to call Sunday my self-care day. And no, I don’t just lay around all day, I use Sunday for all kinds of things including:

+ planning & mapping out my schedule/goals/the week in general
+ making lists: groceries/to-do’s/meals for the week
+ laundry, cleaning & organizing
+ pampering: wash hair, take a bath, read in bed early
