Summer is the perfect time to take advantage of the gorgeous weather and bring entertaining outside, I love enjoying delicious summer cocktails on the deck or patio with friends and family. Long summer days and warm, clear nights make it the perfect place to spend our time. With summer officially kicking off on Sunday (also Father’s Day), I wanted to bring my bar cart outside and create a summer refreshment station that could be enjoyed from the pool deck. Along with the help of Jacob’s Creek Wines, I served up a pitcher of ice cold berry citrus sparkling water and yummy white wine spritzers on ice, topped with fresh local blackberries.
One of my favorite things about summer is all the local BC fruit that’s available. All of the most delicious, ripest fruit you could ever image, sweetened by the sun! I wanted to incorporate that into our refreshments and picked up big, juicy blackberries for garnish and sweet grapefruit, lemons and limes for the citrus water. You may have seen earlier this week, I shared another one of my favorite summer activities; a french-inspired outdoor picnic complete with wicker basket, french baguette and chilled Moscato Rosé.
What I love most about Jacob’s Creek Moscato Dots range blends are their light and refreshing sweet flavors of summer fruit and ‘frizzante’ style. They’ve most definitely taken the spot of my new favorite summer wine.
