GIVING: THE GIFT OF HABIT

Health and wellness have become top-of-mind for me this year. Sure, 2017 held so many AMAZING moments that I’ll never forget but it also threw a lot of curveballs. When life throws us curveballs it can be soooo easy to fall off your game plan, loose momentum or shift your mood but I’ve learned a couple tricks and implemented them into my daily routine. Not only have they helped lift my mood but they’ve also helped keep me focused and feeling positive no matter what is happening around me.

Growing up I always liked the idea of “journaling” but life, excuses and my inbox took precedent so when I recently learned about The Five Minute Journal, I knew I had to have it. Basically it’s a gratitude journal with a page to fill out every day and night listing what you are grateful for and how you could improve tomorrow.

I love The Five Minute Journal because it helps me focus on being grateful and living intentionally. It reminds me to make small adjustments every day to move closer to the outcome in my mind! I love sitting down at my desk to write my entry before I start my work for the day. It’s the best way to set the tone for the day and remind myself of my big-picture goals and how to go about actually acting on them. At the end of the day, I go back and see how I could have done things better which then spills into the following day.. you see where this is going.

  1. The five-minute journal is right up my alley! I wrote pages upon pages in my journal as a teen and would love to get back to it. The prompts are such a great idea. Following on IG and tagged four friends. :)
